| Sample preparation | 10 g of powdered drug in 250 mL stoppered conical flask and extract with 100 mL alcohol for 24 hours by maceration technique with occasional shaking. Decant the extract and make up to 100 ml in a volumetric flask. Take 25 ml of extract from stock solution and dry on a water bath. Extract the dried marc with petroleum ether 60-80° (4x5 mL) .
